Fairing the Topsides

Spent part of the weekend of the 12th and 13th of September filling, sanding, and generally bringing the stern and topsides slowly to fair.

Here is a picture of the stern. You can see the work done on the taff rail as well as the hole notched into the stern portion of the motor well - not original to Alberg's design, and done by a previous owner. The extreme upper portions of the taff rail are pretty close to perfect, as is the repaired notch. I will apply one more round of thickened epoxy (407 low-density fairing filler) most likely, then high-build primer.

Turning to the topsides, you can see from the pictures that there are a number of small dings and scratches across both the port and starboard topsides - starboard shown. I will sand these areas next, then re-examine for additional filler application. Froonie is almost ready for high-build primer....and oh won't that be so much nicer to look at than all my fairing work!!

The request by the Frooner is for pink topsides...heh, it's her favorite color....oh well, we shall see. It's cool to sail in pink!
